thoroughbred horses need info please?
i am a first time horse owner, i will be getting my first horse by this weekend and will be going to see her today (still kind of afraid of them)!
Can you guys please tell me all the basics and more about owning/ having a horse, riding a horse for the first time, getting used to the horse and ect. i would also like to know how to teach it new tricks or whatever as well.
p.s she is an ex race horse, please tell me everything you think i need and or should know!!!

Whoa, whoa! You are afraid of horses, you don’t know basic care, haven’t been on a horse EVER in your life, want to TEACH it tricks, AND you are getting an ex-racer?! Do NOT buy a horse! I’m serious, get some lessons for a few years. You can’t go out and just buy a horse, and then expect to learn EVERYTHING about them in a short paragraph over the internet. Lessons will teach you everything from how to ride to horse care. If you are afraid of horses, you shouldn’t get one because horses can sense fear; fear and horses are a bad combination. I don’t know how long this horse is off the track either, so this is even worst. Sorry to be so rude and such, but green+green=black and blue.
