Draft Horses?!?
Are draft horses good horses to own and ride and what not?
As in any horse, it all depends on the handler and the horse it self. Most drafts are gentle and sweet but you wouldn’t want a grumpy, nippy draft, tthat may not end well. But draft horses do have some fall backs: They are more likely to colic if over 1500 pounds or 2000 pounds. They also have a very wide back and a “wide” tree saddle would be needed, and after riding you might be a little sore since they are alot to strattle lol. A normal sized horse may be lower maitenence but a draft horse would be a fine horse to have too.
