Treating Sarcoids in horses – can anyone offer any advice? I have a 12 yr quarter horse mare with sarcoids?
She has them on her jaw and when bumped they bleed. This occurs frequently due to their location. She had approx 20+ and the vet froze them most have not returned but the ones on her face were not affected by the freezing. Wondered if anyone had any advice on treatments I could investigate?
I live in rural South Australia
They make a product called Xxterra sarcoid ointment that you apply and it kills the tumor. Maybe you can find this on line? We get it from one of our distributors in the U.S. (I work for a vet).
